Pallet Racking
Gravity Flow Rack or Pallet Flow Racks are a storage aid system that is driven by gravity. This pallet racking is best utilized in a fast-moving operation or a facility with first in/first out (FIFO) stock rotation. Heavy-duty skate wheel conveyor on sloped industrial shelves allow palletized loads to flow forward through the rack for easy access. Each pallet racking lane has an integrated braking system that gently slows the pallets as they move through the system, keeping them from damaging other pallets or falling off the front of the rack.
Pallet Flow Racks
This form of high-density pallet storage maximizes warehouse space with significantly fewer aisles than other forms of pallet storage aids. Pallet Flow racks can send pallets through standard pallet rack or to carton flow systems on multi-level pick modules. Unlike static pallet storage systems such as drive-in racking or selective racks, pallets flow through the gravity flow system making it much easier to access product by personnel or equipment.
A Gravity flow pallet rack system can double or triple pallet storage capacity in a facility compared to conventional selective pallet rack.
